All White Baby Clothes - Traditional for a Newborn
Fashionable clothing for babies seems to go against the traditional types of clothing not only in color but also in fabrics. There seems to be fewer and fewer choices of real baby clothes in soft fabrics in the stores, with many designers now creating more mature styles in small sizes. The hand knitted clothes of our grandparents generation are not seen very often on newborns of today's world.
White Clothes Aren't Serviceable
There's something that's extra special about a baby outfit that is all white however. As children grow, white is not usually a good choice for their clothing as they seem to attract dirt so easily, but a newborn is so clean, and white clothes look pretty and fresh on them. However, the detergents available today make washing clothes easy and so even the dirtiest of toddlers who has spent the ten minutes mom took to get dressed making mud-pies in the sandbox in his best white shirt won't mind the laundering too much!
Fashion and gender aside, white is also the color associated with innocence,
and what could be more innocent than a newborn baby - it's easy to see why traditionally
babies were clothed in this color!
