Shopping for Colorful Baby Girls Clothes
One of the most fun things for a new mom is shopping for baby clothes, and shopping for colorful baby girls clothes is the most fun of all. There are only a set number of styles for boys with a limited amount of variations, but for baby girls there's no end to the beautiful and cute outfits you can find.
When my first baby was born I was always looking for tips on clothes shopping for my baby, should I buy this, should I buy that - of course having a boy made it that much simpler anyway - but I would wander around the girls' clothing aisles at the clothes store and wonder why there just wasn't as big a selection for the boys! Keep the clothes simple I was advised. Don't get too many patterns, they won't match. As if there was that much to pick from!
For the first 0-6 months the boys clothes were mainly baby blue or white, with the occasional pastel green, if you wanted traditional styles, or dark blues, greens, or even blacks if you were a more modern mom. That was it. The girls' clothes however were an array of every color you could think of and then some! Shopping for girls must be a dream - or a nightmare if you are someone who finds it hard to make a decision or give in easily to temptation!
Colors, Fabrics, Patterns, Oh My!
Whereas clothes for baby boys tend to be mainly plain with a few simple patterns, this is far from the situation when shopping for a baby girl. The girl's clothes can be plain but mainly in separates which are designed to be coordinated with another separate in a patterned fabric. Flowers, ladybugs, fairies, cute animals, so many different patterns adorn clothes in the baby girl area of the baby clothes store. I confess, with two boys, I'm very envious!
