Who Makes Designer Kids Clothing Popular - Where do the Trends Start?

Who decides what is fashionable? Who says which designer is THE designer in any one season? The kids don't choose the designer, but it's the kids who want to follow the trend and they are the ones putting pressure on their parents to buy. They put pressure on each other - kids without the right clothing aren't accepted in the "cool kid" groups. So who tells the kids starting the trends which clothing is the right clothing? Who is it who first says "this Fall you need a ladybug on your gym bag or you won't be a cool kid"?

Kid Peer Pressure Pushes the Designer Clothes Momentum

Once the "cool" graphic or designer is known for the season, it's the kids who push the sales targets. No-one wants to be the only kid in class that isn't cool. And no parent wants to be responsible for their kid not being cool - so they buy whatever is required. Despite many parents complaining about the expense that this runs to, very few swim against the fashion tide and refuse to purchase their kids the necessary designer items instead of saying "enough!" we're not doing this anymore.
